MMA classes — F8 Training Studio, Konyaaltı Antalya

Mixed martial arts (MMA) combines stand-up disciplines like Muay Thai and boxing with wrestling and ground work. It's the most complete combat sport, so it develops conditioning, strength and technical range all at once.

At our MMA gym in Konyaaltı, classes teach basic striking, takedown defence, positional control and escapes step by step. Sparring and controlled partner work are done by level and with protective gear.

MMA classes are led by Doğukan Siler: Turkey National Muay Thai Team Coach and Member of the Muay Thai Technical Committee for Minis and Juniors. Your group and pace are set together with the coach; technique is corrected one-on-one in every class.

What a class looks like

Every class has five parts; pace and load are adjusted to your level.

Warm-up and mobility

Hip, shoulder and neck mobility; a dedicated warm-up for ground work.

Striking and distance

Boxing- and Muay Thai-based strikes; distance management in the MMA stance.

Takedowns and takedown defence

Basic takedowns, the sprawl and staying upright; safe falling.

Ground positions and escapes

Guard, mount and side control; positional control and escape techniques.

Conditioning

An MMA-specific high-intensity conditioning block and recovery.
